As part of our #FoodForHeroes campaign, we remain committed to supporting all the healthcare heroes working tirelessly around the clock and our customers in the fast-casual and quick service restaurant (QSR) industry. This week, we teamed up with Smoothie King and Michigan-based franchisee Northern Blends Holding LLC to deliver 60 Immune Builder smoothies to McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt. Clements.

The Immune Builder smoothies, which are part of the Wellness Blend category on their menu, are packed up with vitamins and nutrients (including Smoothie King’s Herbal Immune Enhancer). With more than 2000% percent of daily vitamin C, they sound like a great treat for nurses, technicians and physicians at McLaren Macomb.

McLaren Macomb is Macomb County’s first verified trauma center, and the first hospital in the Metro-Detroit Area to offer robotic orthopedic surgery.

We want to thank Kevin Andrachek, Chief Operating Officer of Northern Blends Holding LLC, who coordinated the delivery from their Chesterfield location, which is located at Gratiot and 23 Mile Road.  We’d also like to thank Northern Blends owner Chris Klebba, McLaren’s Director of Patient Experience Kimberly Nicholson, and SMZ Marketing for providing the awesome photos!

Smoothie King is a healthy alternative for breakfast, lunch or dinner and is committed to helping people reach their fitness goals by providing clean blends that focus on all-natural ingredients without added sugar. We appreciate all the healthcare heroes and their amazing work during this challenging time. Please stay safe and do your part to reduce the spread of the virus.
