On Monday April 20, twenty hardworking officers from the West Valley Police Department in West Valley, Utah were surprised by local Wingstop franchisee Sizzling Platter. Boxed lunches – crispy boneless chicken tenders, veggie sticks, dips, and rolls were handed out to the entire staff. The officers, lead by Lt. Amy Maurer, said it was much appreciated on a very busy day. Even those out on patrol were welcomed back to the station by a delicious, comforting meal.

Founded in 1994, Wingstop is a Texas-based, aviation-themed chicken wing chain offering a vast array of flavors and great customer service. The brand has over 1250 restaurants globally.

Sizzling Platter was founded in 1963 and have 5 brands across 12 states and 2 countries – they’ve hosted 250,000,000 guests and counting! They are committed to customer safety and has shifted to takeout and delivery only during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are also committed to their people; “through Sizzling Platter’s Lend-A-Hand Program we are helping our most adversely affected team members with financial resources they need in these difficult times.”

Special thanks to April Ortega and Annalisa Burbidge for all of their help getting these lunches to our hard-working heroes!
